Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Our children produced and hung poppies on the tree at the centre of our village to remember those who served and lost their lives in World War I and World War II.
We were extremely proud of the Remembrance Service that our children participated in on Monday 11th November. They sang various songs, recited poetry, read their own writing about world war experiences and showed off their artwork too.
Thank you for everyone's generous donations for Breast Cancer Awareness.
As we say goodbye to our Year 6s, we would like to wish them all the very best. The children's words at our Leavers' Service truly captured their reflections about their time spent with us at Long Clawson CofE Primary School.' In their words:
'Our school has been a really special place to learn. It is not just about the fantastic work and school visits, it is about the tremendous care we are shown and how we are always, always encouraged to think about and care for others. For the last seven years, we have been lucky to be part of one big family. Our time at Long Clawson has taught us many things .... Most of all it has given us self-confidence and a belief that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.'
Well done to all of our children who walked to raise money for Friends of Long Clawson School. Class 1 enjoyed a stop off and tasting session at Long Clawson Dairy. Classes 2 and 3 walked for over ten miles! We were incredibly proud of their stamina and resilience.
Class 3 had an amazing day out at PGL on Monday 8th July 2024 where they took part in three different challenges.
Not only did we enjoy reading lots of books this week but we also created pictures in the style of some well know illustrators. Take a look at our work.
Thank you to all who donated for this very good cause.
