It's the end of our first (half) week back and I could not be more proud of these wonderful children.
We have spent time over the last few days discussing our excitement and anxiety about returning to school; our values; and our hopes for the future. We have completed activities and read stories promoting a 'never give up' attitude. I think you will also agree that our class poem on 'Kindness' is absolutely beautiful.
No homework this week but there are spellings below (to be tested next Friday, 4th September). We have 3 spelling groups at the moment. We have put a coloured sticker inside the children's Reading Records to indicate which group they are in!
Have a lovely long weekend!
The Power of Kindness
Try to perform at least one act of kindness a day. Record what you have done for others on this blank calendar from The Red Cross.
You could help at home by sharing with your brothers and sisters, reading them a story, unloading the dishwasher, making lunch...
You could cheer up other people by creating and displaying some beautiful artwork, phoning a relative who might be lonely, baking a cake for a neighbour, performing a Zoom concert...
You could help a charity by raising money, donating food and basic essentials or help the environment by sorting your recycling really carefully.
