Wraparound Care
Long Clawson Primary School offer a wraparound care service to our pupils during term time. The club is run by staff members in the morning and by a sporting coach and staff member after school. Our aim is to provide a fun and engaging club that the children enjoy attending.
The breakfast club is open from 7:50am Monday to Friday and includes a nutritional breakfast. After school club is open until 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Children can be collected at either 4.30pm or 5.30pm.
We are also fortunate to benefit from qualified sports coach too. This coaching is provided by Inspire+ on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and by a member of staff on Thursdays. They run sports clubs such as running, football, netball, ball skills, hockey etc. We change the clubs on a termly basis to offer a variety of sporting activities and to suit different age groups. Children attending the after school club can chose to take part in the sports club or they can do another activity with our member of staff.
Times & Prices (from Autumn 2023)
Breakfast Club 7.50am – 8.45am £5.00 (includes breakfast of fruit, cereal or toast)
After school Club 3.30pm – 4.30pm £4.00
3.30pm – 5.30pm £8.00
Booking of Breakfast Club and After School Club
Parents are required to book the month in advance by no later than the 14th of each month. This will allow us time to set up invoices and School Money. This should be done by email to the school office on office@longclawson.leics.sch.uk with the sessions they would like to book. If confirmed in writing, we can accept an ongoing booking every month so parents do not have to repeatedly email the same booking every month.
Where parents require any of the sessions on an ad hoc basis, a request needs to be made with the office first to ensure that we have capacity, this request can be made by phone or email. Once confirmed we will notify the appropriate member of staff.
Payment
Invoices will be emailed out to parents in advance of the month booked and payment must be made by 1st of each month. Please contact the school office if you need your password resending.
Payments for ad hoc sessions will be raised on School Money for immediate settlement.
Bookings and Payments for Sports Clubs
Information about the different sports clubs offered is released termly. Parents can book places using a FORMS link that is provided at the time. If the deadline date for booking is missed, please phone or email the office to check availability, as we may be able to add children on at a later date. Payments for the clubs will be charged for the term and should ideally be paid at the beginning. However, if you need to pay in instalments, please contact the school office in confidence.
Our pupil premium children are entitled to attend one sports club a week free of charge. Parents will still need to book a place for them through the usual FORMS link.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel a session (including absence for things like appointments or illness) once it has been booked and paid for, we will unfortunately not be able to offer a refund nor an alternative slot to make up for the lost session. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. This is due to our need to plan for, and appropriately staff, each session based on the numbers of pupils attending and this can’t be adjusted if numbers change at the last minute. In exceptional circumstances where parents or carers need to cancel/amend their booking then a 2 week notice period is required.
