Year 4/5 visited Belton House to link up with their study of the novel 'Moondial' by Helen Cresswell, which was inspired by the sundial at the heart of Belton's formal gardens. The children had a super day which really brought the book to life for them. Here are some of their thoughts:
"Seeing statues of characters from the book and questioning whether the story was real"
"Reading the book and watching the film was interesting, but actually visiting the places in real life made the story come to life"
"Going to Belton explains a lot about the book and connects the story to real life"
