Year 6 did us proud as they put on a performance of Dick Whittington which highlighted the key messages from within the D.A.R.E. course.
Mr Wallop (Ned) was a bully and we learnt how to put a STOP to his nasty bullying ways.
Dick Whittington (Ben) took a risk in going to London but our RISKOMETER showed what the consequences of that risk could be.
Dick came across some nasty characters who, led by Peer Pressure (Iola), tried to encourage him to do bad things such as steal and smoke.
The day was saved by our pantomime cat, Tiddles (Isla), who was not only able to see off Peer Pressure but also taught Dick the importance of good communication.
It was a super event which really highlighted what the children have learnt throughout their D.A.R.E. course. We very much hope that these will be ‘LESSONS FOR LIFE’.
A huge ‘thank you’ goes out to Mr Tristram for leading the course so brilliantly and also to our F.o.L.C.S, as some of the money they work so hard to raise, has helped towards funding the course.
